Door Styles

Choose Your Sliding Door Style

We offer a range of sliding wardrobe door styles to suit any bedroom design and budget.

Framed Sliding Wardrobe Doors

Framed sliding wardrobe doors are the classic, most popular option for Brisbane homes. A slim aluminium frame runs around each panel, giving the doors strength, stability and a clean outline. This style is ideal for family bedrooms and rentals because it’s durable and forgiving in day‐to‐day use. You can choose from mirror, white board or timber‐look panels, and match the frame colour to your existing trims or hardware. If you want a practical sliding door system that looks neat and works smoothly for years, framed doors are a great starting point.

Frameless Sliding Wardrobe Doors

Frameless sliding wardrobe doors create a sleek, contemporary look with minimal visible framing. The panels sit edge‐to‐edge, so you see mostly mirror or board, not metal. This style is perfect if you like a modern, uncluttered finish and want your wardrobe doors to blend seamlessly into the room. Frameless systems still use quality tracks and rollers for smooth operation, but the visual focus is on the surface, not the frame. They work especially well with full‐height mirror or matt white panels in newer homes and apartments.

Slimline Sliding Wardrobe Doors

Slimline sliding wardrobe doors are designed for bedrooms where space around the opening is tight. Instead of the standard 83 mm double track, our slimline system uses a narrower 53 mm double track, so the frame sits further back and takes up less room. This is ideal when your door jambs are not very wide, you have limited clearance between walls, or there isn’t enough space for a full standard track. You still get a strong, smooth‐gliding door system, but in a slimmer profile that fits where other sliding doors won’t. Slimline doors are available in mirror, glass or panel finishes to suit your décor.

Shoji Sliding Wardrobe Doors

Shoji sliding wardrobe doors are inspired by traditional Japanese screens, with a grid or rail pattern over a frosted or opaque panel. They add a soft, elegant feel and are perfect for bedrooms where you want a feature rather than a plain door. Light passes through the panel while the contents of the wardrobe remain hidden, creating a calm, warm atmosphere. Shoji doors can be customised with different frame colours and grid layouts to match your décor. They suit modern, minimalist and coastal interiors where texture and light are more important than strong colour.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does a wardrobe installation take?

Most installations are completed in a single day. Larger walk-in wardrobes or projects with complex internals may take two days. Once your wardrobe is ready, we book a date that suits you and get it done efficiently — with no mess left behind.

For most jobs across Brisbane and surrounding areas, the measure and quote is completely free — no obligation, no hidden costs. For some job types or locations further out, a small call- out fee may apply. We’ll always let you know upfront before booking a visit, so there are no surprises. Alternatively, if you send us your room dimensions and a few details, we can often provide a solid estimate over the phone or by message — at no cost at all.

Pricing depends on the size, layout, door style, and internal fittings you choose. A standard built-in wardrobe with sliding doors typically starts from around $1,500–$2,500 installed, while walk-in wardrobes vary widely based on size and configuration. Send us your measurements and what you’re after and we’ll come back to you with a realistic estimate — no visit needed to get started.

Lead times vary depending on the current workload and the complexity of your order. We’ll always give you a clear timeframe when you confirm — and in our experience, the wait is well worth it. Every wardrobe is built to order, not pulled off a shelf.

All our wardrobes are built using quality melamine board — standard white (whiteboard) as the default finish, with premium MDF colour board available for clients who want a custom colour or a more high- end look. Door frames use aluminium track systems selected for smooth, quiet, long-lasting performance.

Absolutely. Standard white is the most popular choice and suits most homes, but if you want to match your room, go bold, or achieve a premium designer look, we offer a full range of MDF colour board options. We’ll show you samples when we visit, or we can discuss options over the phone.

We do everything ourselves — design, build, and install. We never outsource our installation work to third parties. The same team that builds your wardrobe is the team that installs it, which means the quality is consistent from start to finish.

Brissy Wardrobes services Brisbane and surrounding areas including the Gold Coast, Ipswich, Logan, and Moreton Bay regions. Not sure if we cover your area? Give us a call or send a message — if we can get there, we will.
