These terms explain how we quote, make and install custom sliding wardrobe doors, built-in and walk-in wardrobes, and linen, pantry and laundry shelving. They apply together with your written quote.

Products bought through our online shop at shop.brissywardrobes.com are covered by the terms shown in the shop.

1. Quotes

For simpler jobs we can often quote online from your sizes and photos. An online quote is based on the information you give us, so the final price may change if the measurements, site conditions or what you want turn out to be different.
For custom work we usually book a site visit to measure and talk through the design. A call-out fee may apply to some site visits. If it does, we will tell you the amount before we book.
Your quote lists what is included, such as doors, internals, finishes, removal of old doors or shelving, and any extras. Anything not listed is not included.
Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless the quote says otherwise. After that, prices may change if material costs have gone up.

2. Accepting your quote and check measure

You can accept your quote by confirming in writing (email or text is fine).
Before anything goes into production, we do a final check measure on site and confirm the design, sizes, colours and finishes with you. Nothing is made until this is done.
If the check measure shows the opening or space is different from what was quoted, we will explain what has changed and confirm any price difference with you before we go ahead.
Because every order is made to measure, please check all the details carefully at this stage.

3. Lead times

Sliding wardrobe doors: usually around 2–3 weeks from the check measure.
Wardrobes and shelving in our standard finishes (built-in and walk-in wardrobes, linen, pantry and laundry shelving): usually 2–4 weeks from the check measure.
Custom colours and coloured MDF boards: availability and lead times depend on the supplier, so we check with them before placing your order and confirm the expected timing with you.
These times are estimates. During busy periods, production can take longer depending on our workload and our suppliers. Delays can also happen because of material supply, weather, site access or other things outside our control. We will keep you updated and confirm your installation date with you.
Most installations take one to two days on site.
If you ask us to delay installation for more than 4 weeks after your products are ready, we may ask for a reasonable storage fee. We will discuss this with you first.

4. Getting the site ready

To help installation run smoothly, we ask that you:

Empty the wardrobe or space and clear a path from the entrance to the room.
Make sure there is reasonable access and parking for our team, and tell us beforehand about stairs, lifts, body corporate rules or other access limits.
Have an adult (18 or over) at home at the start and end of the installation, and keep children and pets away from the work area.
Arrange a licensed electrician if any power points, switches or lights need to be moved. We do not do electrical work.
Tell us about any known water leaks, damp, termite damage or asbestos in the work area. If we find a hazard such as suspected asbestos, we will stop work until it has been dealt with.

Wardrobes can be installed on concrete, carpet or a finished floor. Where it is part of the job, we can trim or remove and refit skirting boards, cornices, rails and similar items to fit the new wardrobe. We do not do patching, painting or plastering, so any making good of walls or paintwork after installation is up to you. If the site is not ready on the agreed day and we cannot go ahead, a return visit fee may apply.

5. Removal of old doors and shelving

We can remove and dispose of your old doors, shelving or wardrobe at an extra cost, which will be shown on your quote. Old materials are taken to a recycling or waste facility. If removal is not on your quote, the old items stay with you.

6. Products, finishes and mirrors

Colours and textures can look slightly different between samples, photos, screens and the finished boards or glass. Small variations in natural finishes and between production batches are normal.
Many homes have walls, floors and ceilings that are not perfectly square or level. We fit and adjust your doors and wardrobe to suit, but small gaps or packing may be needed and are part of a normal installation.
Our mirror doors are fitted with a safety backing film.
Where we supply branded hardware, such as runners, tracks or soft-close drawers, the manufacturer’s own warranty may also apply.

7. Our warranty

The products we make and install are covered by our warranty of up to 5 years from the date of completion, covering faults in manufacture and installation. If something we made or installed fails because of a fault, we will repair or replace it.

The warranty does not cover:

normal wear and tear, or small adjustments needed as a home settles
damage from misuse, accidents, overloading shelves, rails or drawers, or forcing doors off their tracks
damage from water, moisture, damp, pests or building movement
doors or tracks blocked by dirt or objects, or cleaning with harsh or abrasive products
alterations, repairs or relocation done by anyone other than us
products supplied or installed by others, including DIY products bought online and installed by you

To make a warranty claim, contact us on 0432 004 145 or brissywardrobes@gmail.com with your name, address, a short description and photos if possible. We will arrange to inspect and fix any covered fault at no cost to you. Please check your installation on the day and let us know about any visible marks or damage as soon as you can. This helps us sort it out quickly and does not limit your rights.

8. Your rights under the law

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

Our warranty is in addition to these rights, and nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

9. Photos of our work

We may take photos of finished jobs to show on our website and social media. We never show your address or anything that identifies you. If you would prefer we did not photograph your job, just let us know.

10. Privacy

We only use your details to quote, carry out and support your job. Please see our Privacy Policy.

11. Complaints

If you are unhappy with anything, please contact us first so we can try to fix it. If we cannot resolve a dispute about building work, you can contact the Queensland Building and Construction Commission (QBCC) on 139 333 or at qbcc.qld.gov.au.

12. Using this website

The information and prices on this website are general and can change. A price only applies once it is in a written quote. The content, photos and designs on this website belong to Brissy Wardrobes & Sliding Doors Pty Ltd and may not be copied without our permission.

13. General

These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. We may update these terms from time to time. The version that applies to your job is the one in place when you accepted your quote.
