How Much Do Sliding Wardrobe Doors Cost in Brisbane?

By the Brissy Wardrobes & Sliding Doors team · Updated October 2026

It’s the first question almost everyone asks us: “How much will new sliding wardrobe doors cost?” The real answer is that it depends on your opening and the doors you choose. Every set we make is cut to measure, so two wardrobes that look alike can be priced quite differently.

This guide explains what actually drives the price of custom sliding wardrobe doors in Brisbane, what to check when comparing quotes, and how to get an accurate price quickly.

What affects the price of sliding wardrobe doors?

1. The size of your opening

The width and height of the opening decide how many door panels you need and how big each one is. A standard two-door bedroom robe is a very different job from a wide, floor-to-ceiling opening that needs three or four panels.

2. The door finish

Board panels in our standard colours are usually the most budget-friendly option. Mirror doors cost a little more because of the glass and the safety backing film we fit to every mirror panel. Doors that combine mirror and board panels sit in between. Not sure which suits your room? Read our mirror vs board sliding doors guide.

3. Frames and track system

The frame colour and track system affect both the look and the price. Good-quality tracks and rollers are what keep a door gliding smoothly for years, so this is not the place to cut corners.

4. Custom colours and coloured MDF boards

Our standard finishes suit most homes. If you want a particular colour or coloured MDF board, the price and lead time depend on the supplier, so we check with them before confirming your quote.

5. Your floor and the site

We install on concrete, carpet and finished floors. Carpet may need a floor batten, and bulkheads, walls that aren’t square or uneven floors can need extra work to get a clean fit. We pick all of this up at the measure, so there are no surprises later.

6. Removing your old doors

If you’re replacing existing doors, we can remove and dispose of them for you at an extra cost. It’s shown separately on your quote, so you can decide.

7. Internals and extras

Many customers update the inside at the same time with new shelving, hanging rails or premium soft-close drawers. These are optional and quoted separately. See our wardrobe internals for ideas.

Why the cheapest quote isn’t always the best value

Sliding doors get used every day, often for ten years or more. Cheap tracks and rollers wear out quickly, doors start jumping off the track, and poorly fitted panels leave uneven gaps. When you compare quotes, it’s worth asking:

  • Are the doors made to measure, or cut down from standard sizes?
  • Do mirror doors have a safety backing film?
  • Who installs them: the company’s own team or a subcontractor?
  • Is removal of the old doors included, or extra?
  • What warranty is offered, and what does it cover?

How to get an accurate quote quickly

For simpler jobs we can often quote online. Just send us:

  • The rough width and height of the opening
  • A few photos of the wardrobe and the floor in front of it
  • The finish you like (mirror, board or a mix)
  • Your suburb

For custom work we’ll book a site visit. Either way, we do a final check measure before anything is made and confirm any change in price with you first.

How long does it take?

Sliding wardrobe doors usually take around 2–3 weeks from the check measure. During busy periods it can take a little longer, and we’ll always confirm your installation date with you.
